Mark Ruffalo has extended an Avengers: Infinity War premiere invitation to another bullied boy. Ruffalo took to Twitter yesterday to invite Nyeeam Hudson to the world premiere of the next Avengers film after the boy’s level-headed take on bullying went viral via a video posted online.
Ruffalo’s invitation comes just days after Chris Evans invited Tennessee teen Keaton Jones to the Avengers: Infinity War premiere after the boy posted a video online detailing his bullying. Evans’ invite resulted in immediate backlash when a quick succession of allegations regarding the Jones family surfaced. Those allegations include racism on the part of the Jones’ parents and a suspicious GoFundMe campaign that amassed over $50,000 before being shut down.
While Ruffalo’s tweet mentions fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Don Cheadle, it seems that Cheadle is less involved in the invitation than initially implied. Ruffalo later followed up with a clarifying tweet stating, “This is still in committee with @DonCheadle. I dragged him on without conferring with him. Sorry. My bad. My invite with this young man stands.”
Avengers: Infinity War debuts on May 4, 2018.
